Samsung Just Leaked Its Galaxy Note 8?
The photo above looks like the final design of Sammy’s most anticipated Galaxy Note 8. It’s sleek and elegant. It stands out from its peers for sure. The thing we like the most is … Samsung’s teasing ability. Yup… it’s about the time to stir the water of the competition with Apple’s highly anticipated iPhone 8 which is expected to have a record high sales in the fourth quarter this year. We don’t believe that this is not a generic phone design photo of its smartphones or an accidental leaked picture of Galaxy Note 8. There is no doubt that Samsung wants consumers to see what’s the next big thing in their pipeline.
Galaxy Note 8 Expected Announcement Date
— /LEAKS (@Slashleaks) July 10, 2017
From various sources, we can be expecting that Samsung will highly likely announce Galaxy Note 8 on August 23rd (Wednesday) 2017. It will bump up its screen size from 5.7″ (Note 7) to 6.3″. It’s a huge difference especially in the form factor of the smartphone. Some important specs of the upcoming Galaxy Note 8 are as follows,
- 6.3in 3840x2160 Super AMOLED curved Infinity Display with 18.5:9 ratio
- Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chip
- 6GB RAM
- Vertical dual lens rear-facing camera (both 12-megapixel sensors)
- USB-C connectivity
- Android 7.0 Nougat
- IP68 certification
- 64GB build-in storage
- microSD expansion
The bad thing is that it will probably still have its fingerprint sensor located on the back next to the cameras since embedded fingerprint scanner on the screen is much harder than what we thought. Don’t blame them … it seems like Apple has been facing the same situation too. Rumors said that Apple might delay its iPhone 8 launch this year (or probably will postpone to early next year) due to the difficulty of implementing the in-display fingerprint reader for the iPhone 8.
